OF RESIDENCIES
Individual residency
During your residency, you share the house with one or two other residents. You stay in a single room with a shared bathroom, kitchen and studio. Breakfast and dinner are included, but lunch isn’t.
Base price: €580 per week.The minimum stay is one week.

ARTISTIC
SUPPORT
At LaBabuch, we are dedicated to teaching and research in the field of the arts, especially photography. We offer technical and artistic support for creative processes.
Types of support available*:
- Portfolio review
- Support with theory and guidance for artistic projects
- Storytelling and editing for photography projects
- Technical assistance in using the darkroom and the etching press
- Technical support with bookbinding and creating book-objects
- Technical support with other processes such as platinum/palladium, cyanotype, wet

SURROUNDINGS
The house is located in the Brenne Ntural Park, a perfect place for walking and enjoying nature. The Camino de Santiago passes in front of the house and at the back there is a path that connects to the nearest villages. The closest river, the Anglin, is a 10-minute walk from the house.
The region is known for its wealth of flora and fauna, and for being a refuge for numerous migratory birds.

LOCATION
AND TRANSPORT
LaBabuch is located in the Indre department, located in the southern part of the Centre region of France. The nearest cities are Poitiers and Chatêllerault.
The closest train station is in Montmorillon, where you can be picked up by car. Bus service connects several towns between Poitiers and Le Blanc, which is 15 minutes by car. We can help you find the easiest way to get here.
Bicycles for exploring the area are available to residents.
MEALS
LaBabuch supports local businesses. Most of our products come from the markets in Le Blanc, Chauvigny and Montmorillon, as well as the Gaya organic co-op. We can adapt to the residents’ specific dietary needs and food intolerances.
